Search

Search is the heart of JOGL Network. You describe who you're looking for in plain language and it ranks members by how well they match — using semantic search over profiles, publications, and professional backgrounds, not just keywords.

Search modes

In the search composer you can pick a mode:

• Auto — let JOGL Network decide whether a simple or deep search fits your query. This is the default.
• Simple — a fast, single-pass expert search that returns a ranked list of members.
• Deep — a thorough, two-turn search (see below).

Deep Search

Deep Search is interactive and runs in two turns:

1. You enter your query. JOGL Network analyzes it and proposes a plan — a set of sub-needs it will search for. You can check or uncheck each one.
2. Optionally toggle Compose team to have it propose a group of complementary people rather than a flat list.
3. Confirm, and it runs the plan and returns grouped results.

This is the right mode when you're assembling a team or exploring a broad, multi-part need.

Voice input

Anywhere you can type a search, you can also dictate it. Tap the microphone button and speak; your speech is transcribed in real time. You can pick your input device and cancel a recording in progress.

Scoping your search

Depending on where you are, you can scope a search to:

• a community you belong to,
• an event you're attending (see Event mode), or
• a saved list.
