Privacy & GDPR
Control your profile visibility, AI data processing, data export, and account deletion.
JOGL Network gives you direct control over your data. Everything below is available to you in Settings.
Profile visibility
- Public profile — a switch that makes your profile publicly visible or private.
- Per-contact visibility — each contact/social item can be public or limited to specific communities (set on your profile).
Archiving your profile
You can archive your profile, which hides it from search. Archiving is also the first step before deleting your account.
AI data processing location
You can set your AI data-residency preference, including an EU option, so that AI processing of your data runs in-region. Communities also have their own data-residency setting that governs search and enrichment run within that community — see Community data residency for the admin side.
Data residency covers where the LLM runs. Some processing — embeddings and certain external data sources — is out of scope for the EU-routing option; see your community's settings and your DPA for specifics.
Exporting your data
Export my data downloads a JSON file of your data (a GDPR Article 15/20 export),
including your private notes, extracted facts, and preferences. The file is named
jogl-data-export-<date>.json.
Deleting your account
Account deletion is a deliberate, two-step action:
- Archive your profile first (this hides it from search).
- Delete account — this purges your private notes and preferences, removes your profile and meeting data, and signs you out.
Deletion is permanent. Export your data first if you want a copy.
